Good food but not nearly hot enough
Had breakfast with a friend today in Leeds, the food seems to be good quality, the waiting staff are lovely but I have a couple of gripes. Every time I eat there the food is tepid at best. I won't go with my hubby he likes his food nuclear hot, I don't, I like my food 'warm' but here it's really not warm by the time you've started to eat, the beans, mushrooms, black pud and bacon are cold. The sausage was a bit warmer! Oh and an orange juice for 2.95 with 5 big chunks of ice, don't be tight either use a bigger glass or don't take the mickey with so much ice. You may be thinking I could complain at the time but I NEVER send food back I'm too worried about what happens to it if you do.

Recent discovery
I've recently discovered Bill's and love it! I've been to St Alban's, Chelmsford and now the one in Braintree Outlet Village. The food is delicious! Portions aren't massive which I like because so much gets wasted otherwise. To me they are the perfect size. Great value for money. Abs the staff are great; quick, efficient and friendly. They are happy to make suggestions and recommendations and we're spot on for me. Very attentive without being intrusive. Particular mention for our lady in Braintree, Jaqs. Would also mention the lovely lady at Chelmsford but I can't remember her name!

Bill's Clink Street,London.
Bill's Clink Street,London.
I used to love Bill's but unfortunately not anymore.
We went for lunch with my friends and experienced bad service, poor and light portions (like a feta salad with no feta) but still ridiculously expensive.
The staff just didn't care, they brought dessert with no cutlery and when I asked they gave me just forks not even napkins so I had to steal some from an empty table, I rather did that than ask them at that point.
To add bad to worse, the toilet were smelly and gross but the service charge was still added swiftly and painfully to the bill, we left angry, hungry and poorer.
Goodbye Bill's

Bills - High Wycombe
Bills, High Wycombe.
Went to Bills for lunch, greeted and shown to a table of our choice. The restaurant was half full yet the service was was very slow, when we did a order our food took a long time to arrive. My husband order the buttermilk chicken burger however it was really tasteless; he described it to eating cardboard. I order eggs Benedict - the eggs were full of water!! Our 3 year old had fish fingers and chips, the fish fingers were clearly deep fried, they were burnt, rock solid and inedible. Tried to complain but all waiters avoided making eye contact. The one person who did come over - I think the manager was more interested in winding my 3 year old up. When asked how his food was my son replied ‘yucky’ however this was laughed off. Requested the bill - it came very promptly, service charge already added - I would not have given any tip if I’d been asked. When we tried to complain about our sons food the waitress was more interested in telling us how her son is a picky eater too. She would not listen and clearly just wanted the table free. We will not ever be returning to Bills again.

Sub standard food
We had a takeaway from bills in rushden lakes.when we collected the profiteroles had a warm box on top!
The calamari didn’t come with the tomato sauce, the chicken with egg was so dry, no pea shoots or celeriac slaw. The butter chicken in a bun was over cooked and very dry, no mayo, small amount of slaw and no rosemary or salt on the chips.
Not a great experience and hopefully bills will refund

Went to the Bury St Edmunds branch for…
Went to the Bury St Edmunds branch for dinner. Very disappointed. The food, when we got it was cold, the wine we asked for was unavailable and the more expensive wine that was substituted.was not nice. The final insult was to have a 12,5% service charge added to the bill without being told. I can find better ways of spending money in Bury St Edmunds than giving it to Bills

Really disappointing Fathers Day…
Really disappointing Fathers Day breakfast at Bills Eastbourne.
We’ve visited multiple times before and not had any problems but it seems to have gone massively downhill.
When we arrived we were shown to a table but asked if we could have one a little further back in the restaurant (the restaurant was practically empty at this point) we were told no as they were so busy it was a 1 in, 1 our policy. This didn’t really make sense to us. We booked a table for 4 so can’t see it mattered which table of 4 especially when it was so empty.
We then ordered our food and my husband requested the the egg was not included with his breakfast as he doesn’t like it. We were told that wasn’t possible, again, because they were so busy. But the restaurant was still empty! Both children asked for pancakes. My son didn’t want the fruit on his - this change was acceptable, which made no sense following the waitress telling us we couldn’t make changes! We asked how many pancakes the children would get and we were told 3 each - when the waitress bought them to the table they had only got 2 pancakes each.
The restaurant remained very quiet despite their claims of a 1 in, 1 out policy.
The food was good, although wildly overpriced. I usually don’t mind the cost as it’s generally a lovely place to go for a special occasion but, the service was shocking.

Would recommend!
I’d booked Bills in Bath for my mums birthday brunch and read only but good reviews before attending yesterday morning. Well, it certainly lived up to the good reviews! When arriving the head of house allowed us to pick our seats (we did have a reservation) and proceeded to give us a drink on the house and wished my mum a very happy birthday. It was so kind and unexpected, so thank you. All the staff were polite and attentive and the breakfast was beautiful! We will be returning.

Anniversary let down
My husband and I went to Bill's, Reading after having our first night away since becoming parents! We thought we would treat ourselves to breakfast and thought the range that Bill's has to offer was amazing and we were lucky enough to get a table too with it being bank holiday. We usually love Bill's however, our trip was tarnished by a number of things -
1 - We ordered drinks first and then some food. Our food arrived within about 8 minutes and whilst speedy service is usually a good thing, we had wanted to savour our breakfast! Our drinks then didn't arrive for a further 10 minutes, which was confusing to us.

2 - I had ordered the eggs, halloumi and Roasted tomatoes on toast and was severely disappointed when it arrived, half my toast was well done, the other half was bread, the Roasted tomatoes was one big beef tomato that had only touched the sides of a griddle pan and was still raw in the middle. I had thought that it would maybe be Roasted vine tomatoes so should have checked with that. It came with what seemed like a whole bag of spinach and a few caramelised onions dripped in. There was so much spinach on the plate, I dropped most of it on the floor trying to cut the toast/bread!

3 - Not directly linked to us but the staff were confused about the waiting time/ availability of Bill's as some couples/families were being turned away by certain members of staff whereas other members would ask if they wanted inside or out?? It seemed wrong to be turning away certain people and offering others.

The service seemed rushed, they seemed overbooked and understaffed. It is a real shame that this is what Bill's has come to as previously I had never had a bad experience of them.

Eastbourne Bills
Eastbourne Bills - awful! There are much better places to eat in Eastbourne . They seated us and took our drinks order without telling us they had practically nothing left on their menu. We had a few starters in the end which was very poor quality. Service was shocking. Such a shame, I have always loved the bills vibe but it’s gone for me.

Bill's SOHO
Visited Bill's Soho on Saturday 14th May, was a beautiful day and things started well as we were offered a choice of table, choosing one by the large open bay windows.
Waiting staff were for the most part efficient and friendly, the atmosphere was also nice and I enjoyed the quirky look of the venue.

When it comes to produce things went badly wrong sadly, both cocktails and food were very disappointing we ordered the strawberry blush/kiss cocktail and the only thing you could taste was tonic water.
For starters my partner ordered calamari which was OK, I tried some of the flat bread side as a starter which was flavourless and burnt.
For mains we both tried the chicken burger option which was almost entirely tasteless and dry, luckily table water is provided because I certainly needed it!
Due to how disappointing the first two courses were we didn't bother with the dessert.

No table service. Waste of time.
We visited Bills Westfield Shepherds Bush. We should have realised the service is poor as most tables were empty.
We were shown to a table and then sat there for 20minutes with no table service, not even a drink of water.
Vote with your feet people!
We left and was enthusiastically thanked for visiting by the door greeter.
Don’t waste your time.
